Kerry Consulting is recruiting an Industrial Engineering Manager (Semicon) to lead capacity planning, shopfloor optimisation and production-layout initiatives in a high-volume semiconductor environment. You will drive capacity models, allocate resources and mentor the IE team.
The role focuses on improving UPH, cost modelling and manufacturing efficiency, working closely with Manufacturing, Production Planning and Engineering to achieve targets.
Overview
Our client is a leading semiconductor manufacturing organisation seeking an experienced Industrial Engineering Manager to lead plant capacity, production-layout and operational-efficiency initiatives.
You will lead and develop the Industrial Engineering team, supporting manufacturing performance through robust capacity planning, resource optimisation and shopfloor improvement. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining capacity models, analysing production requirements, and ensuring effective allocation of manpower, equipment and other manufacturing resources.
You will drive factory and production-line layout optimisation, including machine placement, material flow and space utilisation. The role will also oversee cost modelling, direct-material usage control and productivity initiatives, including UPH improvement and MODAPTS-based work-method analysis.
Working closely with Manufacturing, Production Planning, Engineering and Operations teams, you will maintain IE documentation, identify improvement opportunities and deliver practical initiatives that support capacity, cost and efficiency targets.
The successful candidate will hold a degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline, with at least eight years of relevant experience gained within semiconductor manufacturing or a comparable high-volume manufacturing environment.
Prior experience in team leadership, capacity planning, factory-layout design and continuous-improvement initiatives is essential. You should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, alongside a sound understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes. Hands-on proficiency with CAD tools, including AutoCAD, is required.
