Job summary

Kerry Consulting PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineering Manager to lead capacity planning, shopfloor optimisation and productivity initiatives within a semiconductor manufacturing environment.

You will lead and develop the IE team, analyse capacity, and drive improvements across plant layouts and material flow. The role requires strong analytical skills and a track record in high-volume manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Degree in Industrial Engineering or related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in semiconductor or high-volume manufacturing.
• Experience in capacity planning and shopfloor layout.
• Experience leading and developing a team.
• Proficient in CAD tools, including AutoCAD.
• Strong analytical and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Industrial Engineering team to achieve objectives.
• Analyze manufacturing capacity and recommend manpower, equipment and resources.
• Develop, maintain and improve production capacity models and planning processes.
• Optimize plant and production-line layouts, including machine positioning and material flow.
• Drive improvements in machine utilisation, UPH and overall efficiency.
• Conduct time-and-motion studies, including MODAPTS analysis, to improve methods.
• Develop cost models and support cost-reduction initiatives.
• Monitor direct-material usage, including cost tracking and control.
• Prepare and maintain IE-related documentation and process standards.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Production Planning and others on projects.
• Undertake other duties assigned by management.

• Analyse manufacturing capacity and recommend appropriate manpower, equipment and resource allocation.
• Develop, maintain and improve production capacity models and planning processes.
• Optimise plant and production-line layouts, including machine positioning and material flow.
• Drive improvements in machine utilisation, UPH and overall operational efficiency.
• Conduct time-and-motion studies, including MODAPTS analysis, to improve work methods and productivity.
• Develop cost models and support cost-reduction initiatives.
• Monitor and improve direct-material usage, including cost tracking and control.

Requirements

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in semiconductor manufacturing or a comparable high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience in capacity planning, production planning, shopfloor layout and operational improvement.
• Prior experience leading, managing and developing a team.
• Good understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes will be advantageous.
• Proficient in CAD tools, including AutoCAD.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder-management skills.
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
