Job summary

Excelitas Technologies Singapore Pte. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer to analyze processes, optimize line layouts, and develop standard work across machining, optics, assembly, and testing.

The role emphasizes line balancing, capacity planning, and Kaizen events, with collaboration across Production, Quality, and Continuous Improvement teams to support NPI, transfers, and engineering changes.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in industrial/manufacturing/optical engineering or related field.
3–6 years in industrial, manufacturing, or process engineering in high-mix, low-volume environments.
Experience in line balancing, capacity planning, takt-time analysis, and standard work development.
Proficiency with CAD, Excel, and data analysis.

Responsibilities

Analyze process flows, routings, and capacity for transferred products.
Develop production line layouts, staffing models, and takt-time models across machining, optics, assembly, and testing operations.
Develop and maintain standard work, work instructions, training materials, and process documentation.
Lead line balancing and capacity optimization during ramp-up to meet target production rates.
Lead Kaizen events and early-life production problem solving to close performance gaps and stabilize new or transferred processes.
Document production handover to ensure a fully qualified, stable production line.
Provide industrial engineering support for cleanroom and non-cleanroom assembly operations and environmental testing.
Conduct ongoing capacity planning, line balancing, and layout optimization amid volume/mix changes.
Conduct time studies and improve standard work, workflow, ergonomics, and material flow.
Drive improvements in OEE, downtime, cycle time, and yield via A3/8D/Kaizen methodologies.
Collaborate with Production, Quality, and CI Engineering on NPI, transfers, and engineering changes.
Collaborate with Machining and Optics IE teams on site-wide capacity planning and resource optimization.
