Job summary

Excelitas Technologies Corp. seeks an experienced Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer to analyze processes, design layouts, and develop standard work for transferred products. You will lead capacity planning, line balancing, and cycle-time modeling across machining, optics, assembly, and testing operations.

You will also develop training materials, support qualification activities, and drive Kaizen events to improve OEE, downtime, and yield in a high-mix environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related discipline.
• 3–6 years in industrial/manufacturing or process engineering.
• Experience with line balancing, capacity planning, time studies, and takt-time analysis.
• Experience supporting NPI, transfers, ramp-up, and qualification activities.
• Proficiency with CAD and Excel for layout and analysis.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification.
• Experience in cleanroom or environmental testing environments.
• Familiarity with AS9100/ISO 13485/ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze processes and optimize flows for transferred products.
• Develop production line and cell layouts, staffing models and cycle times.
• Create standard work, work instructions, and training materials.
• Support equipment qualification, pilot builds, and validation activities (FAI, IQ/OQ/PQ).
• Lead line balancing and capacity optimization during ramp-up.
• Lead Kaizen events to close performance gaps and stabilize processes.
• Document and execute production handover to qualified lines.
• Provide IE support for cleanroom/non-cleanroom assembly and testing.
• Conduct ongoing capacity planning, line balancing, and layout optimization.
• Perform time studies and improve standard work and material flow.
