Job summary

VisionPower Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (VSMC) in Singapore is seeking an Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer to analyze and optimize manufacturing layouts, improve production flow, and lead efficiency initiatives across fab operations.

You will perform capacity analyses, time and motion studies, and cost models, collaborating with cross-functional teams. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply; knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma and data tools is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Fresh graduates or candidates with relevant industrial engineering experience are welcome to apply.
• Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing, fab operations, assembly processes, or high-volume manufacturing environments is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, process improvement, and cost optimisation methodologies.
• Proficient in data analysis tools such as Excel, Minitab, and Power BI.
• Experience with CAD software for factory layout planning and optimisation is preferred.
• Familiarity with MES, ERP systems, factory automation, and manufacturing data systems is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced semiconductor manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and optimize layouts, production flow, and material handling to boost efficiency and space usage.
• Conduct capacity analysis, equipment utilization studies, and workflow assessments to identify bottlenecks.
• Perform time and motion studies to improve manpower efficiency and reduce waste.
• Develop cost analysis models and support cost reduction through process optimization and productivity improvements.
• Support factory layout planning, equipment installation, relocation projects, and expansion activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support process changes and new product introduction (NPI).
• Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement to enhance manufacturing performance.
• Monitor KPIs such as throughput, cycle time, utilisation, productivity, and cost.
• Support capital investment projects through capacity evaluation, ROI analysis, and equipment justification.
• Utilise data-driven approaches to identify improvement opportunities and sustainable solutions.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and semiconductor quality standards.
