Job summary

VisionPower Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (VSMC) in Singapore seeks an Industrial Engineering professional to analyze and optimize manufacturing layouts, production flow, and material handling to maximize efficiency and space utilization.

The role involves capacity and bottleneck analysis, time and motion studies, and cross-functional collaboration to support process changes, NPI, and cost-reduction initiatives. Fresh graduates are welcome.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field is required.
• Fresh graduates or candidates with relevant industrial engineering experience are welcome to apply.
• Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing or high-volume environments is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and cost optimization.
• Proficient in data analysis tools (Excel, Minitab, Power BI).

Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize manufacturing layouts, production flow, and material handling to improve efficiency and space utilization.
• Conduct capacity analysis and bottleneck studies to identify improvement opportunities.
• Perform time and motion studies to enhance manpower efficiency and reduce waste.
• Support factory layout planning, equipment installation, and production expansion projects.
• Collaborate with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Facilities, Quality, and Equipment teams on process changes and NPI.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies to boost performance.
• Monitor KPIs such as throughput, cycle time, utilization, and cost; support ROI analyses for capital projects.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards in semiconductor manufacturing.

Job description

• Analyse and optimize manufacturing layouts, production flow, and material handling systems to improve efficiency, reduce cycle time, and maximize space utilization.
• Conduct capacity analysis, equipment utilization studies, and workflow assessments to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
• Perform time and motion studies to improve manpower efficiency, and reduce process waste.
• Develop cost analysis models and support cost reduction initiatives through process optimization, productivity improvement, and resource planning.
• Support factory layout planning, equipment installation, relocation projects, and production expansion activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Facilities, Quality, Equipment to support process changes and new product introduction (NPI).
• Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance manufacturing performance.
• Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) such as throughput, cycle time, utilization, productivity, and manufacturing cost.
• Support capital investment projects through capacity evaluation, ROI analysis, and equipment justification.
• Utilize data-driven approaches to identify improvement opportunities and implement sustainable solutions.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and semiconductor quality standards.

• Experience with CAD software for factory layout planning and optimization is preferred.
• Familiarity with MES, ERP systems, factory automation, and manufacturing data systems is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced semiconductor manufacturing environment.
