Job summary

Silicon Box Inc. is seeking an Industrial Engineer (IE) to manage plant capacity and optimize production floor layouts. The role focuses on coordinating cross-functional teams including facility, equipment, QA, RND and MES to ensure layouts and capacity models meet production goals.

Candidates with semiconductor manufacturing experience or startup exposure are encouraged to apply. The candidate should have CAD proficiency (AutoCAD) and strong leadership, communication, and project management

Qualifications

• Degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing or related field.
• Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing process is a plus.
• Hands-on CAD tool experience, especially AutoCAD.
• Familiar with facility setup/hookup requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams on the latest factory layout plan.
• Ensure factory schematic layout drawings are up to date.
• Plan and schedule equipment move-in, installation and hook-up activities.
• Optimize factory layout for efficient space utilization.
• Collaborate with production and facilities on equipment setup requirements.
• Conduct time studies on equipment and establish UPH targets.
• Estimate manpower needs and plan for factory operations.
• Maintain and update the factory capacity model.
• Support capacity readiness to meet business plans.

IE Engineer is responsible for plant capacity management and production floor layout management.

Key Responsibilities

Factory Layout Support

• Coordinate with functional team (facility/equipment/QA/RND/MES/Others) on latest factory layout plan.
• Support and ensure factory schematic layout drawing is up to date.
• Coordinate overall equipment move in/arrival/installation and hook-up schedule plan.
• Optimize factory layout for effective space utilization.
• Work closely with production and facility on equipment setup requirements.

Capacity Support

• Conduct time study on equipment and establish theoretical UPH.
• Calculate and study manpower requirement and planning for factory operation.
• Maintain and update factory capacity model.
• Support and compute overall factory capacity and execute company business plan to ensure capacity readiness.

Requirement

• Degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing environment or other related field.
• Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing process is an advantage.
• Hand-on skills on CAD tool like Autocad.
• Familiar with facility setup/hookup requirement
• Domain knowledge in Industrial Engineering or related field will be an advantage. Excellent leadership with solid communication skills and project management experience
