Job summary

The Classroom is a part-time on-site teaching position based in Hougang Central, Singapore. You will teach Lower Secondary Science (Sec 1 and Sec 2) with a minimum load of 3 classes per week, capped at 12 students per class. Priorities include preparing materials, tracking progress, and liaising with parents.

Experience in Secondary Science and a degree in Science or Engineering are required. Higher salary possible if you can also teach Upper Secondary Pure Physics.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience teaching Secondary Science.
• Degree in Science, Engineering or related field.
• Strong subject knowledge and ability to explain difficult concepts.
• Confident communicating with students and parents.
• Not an entry-level teaching position; ownership of classes.

Responsibilities

• Teach Sec 1 and Sec 2 Science classes.
• Prepare and improve worksheets, notes, practice questions and assessments.
• Track student progress and communicate with parents as needed.
• Help improve Lower Secondary Science curriculum and resources.
• Maintain a structured, engaging, and conducive classroom environment.
