Job summary

The Classroom in Hougang Central is seeking an experienced Lower Secondary Science teacher to join us part-time. You will teach Sec 1 and Sec 2 Science with a minimum of 3 classes per week, capped at 12 students, on selected weekdays and at least one weekend day.

There is room to take on Upper Secondary Pure Physics and a larger teaching role with higher pay. We emphasize collaboration, ongoing curriculum development, and close communication with parents to support student progress.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience teaching Secondary Science.
• Degree in Science, Engineering or related field.
• Strong subject knowledge in science.
• Ability to explain difficult concepts clearly.
• Confidence communicating with students and parents.
• Genuine interest in improving teaching over time.

Responsibilities

• Teach Sec 1 and Sec 2 Science classes.
• Prepare and improve worksheets, notes, practice questions and assessments.
• Track student progress and communicate with parents when necessary.
• Help improve Lower Secondary Science curriculum and resources.
