Job summary

ADECCO Personnel Pte Ltd is seeking a Student Support Officer for a short-term role in West Singapore. The position supports student well-being, engagement, and positive behaviour within a school setting, starting immediately.

You will supervise students during recess and school hours, build rapport, manage conflicts, and conduct restorative conversations. The role also involves liaising with teachers and parents, documenting interventions, and supporting students’ development and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience working with primary school-aged children.
• Background in student management, pastoral care, counselling, or behaviour management is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to manage challenging behaviours calmly and confidently.
• Patient, caring, and committed to supporting students' development and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Conduct roving supervision and engage students during recess and school hours
• Build rapport with students and monitor their well-being
• Manage conflicts and support students through behavioural challenges
• Conduct restorative conversations and emotional regulation support
• Provide individual student check-ins and follow-up on concerns
• Liaise with teachers, school leaders, and parents on student matters
• Document interventions and support plans
• Facilitate detention, reflection, and reintegration sessions when required
