Job summary

ACP is seeking an ICT Trainer to design and deliver a comprehensive ICT curriculum for primary students, from Primary 1 to 6, fostering digital fluency and responsible use of technology.

You will develop lessons across digital literacy, technical skills, media creation, and computational thinking, while leveraging Google Workspace for Education and other digital tools to assess and monitor student progress.

Qualifications

• A minimum diploma (or higher) in ICT or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in teaching ICT at the primary school level.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Google Workspace for Education, coding platforms (Scratch, Micro:bit), and digital media tools (iMovie, Powtoon).
• Proven ability to design and implement a structured ICT curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Design, prepare, and deliver ICT lessons for Primary 1 to Primary 6.
• Teach topics including Digital Literacy, Technical Skills, Creative Media, and Computational Thinking.
• Develop ICT assessments to monitor progress and guide instruction.
• Provide ICT admin support and help maintain the school’s ICT systems.

About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and innovative ICT Trainer to inspire and equip our primary school students with the foundational skills for digital fluency.

You will be responsible for developing and delivering a comprehensive ICT curriculum that empowers students to thrive in a technology-driven world and prepares them for the future.

Key Responsibilities

1. Curriculum Delivery and Instruction:

• Design, prepare, and deliver high-quality ICT lessons for students from Primary 1 to Primary 6.
• Teach a wide range of topics, including:
  Digital Literacy & Citizenship: New media literacies, internet security, ethical research practices, and copyright awareness.
  Technical Skills: Touch typing using school-provided software.
  Creative Media: Basic photo editing, video creation (e.g., iMovie), and animation (e.g., Powtoon).
  Computational Thinking: Coding and programming with platforms such as Scratch, Scratch Junior, and Micro:bit.
  Productivity & Collaboration: Full suite of Google Workspace for Education (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Sites, Classroom) and web-based tools (Padlet, Kahoot, Mentimeter).

2. Learning Management & Assessment:

• Facilitate and manage learning through the school’s Learning Management System (Student Learning Space - SLS).
• Develop, administer, and analyze ICT baseline assessments to monitor student progress and guide instruction.

3. Administrative and School Support:

• Perform all related ICT administrative tasks and duties as assigned by School Leaders or the Head of Department.
• Provide technical support and guidance to ensure the smooth running of ICT-related activities within the school.
