Job summary

Honeywell Technologies is seeking a Program Specialist II to oversee small, low-risk projects in IBMS/BMS environments. You will lead installation and commissioning activities, manage work packages, and ensure on-time delivery within scope while coordinating with customers and subcontractors.

The role requires 4–5 years of delivery experience in Automation Controls Systems, diploma in engineering, and strong financial data awareness to monitor variances and metrics for successful project

Qualifications

• 4-5 years’ delivery experience of Automation Controls Systems (IBMS / BMS).
• ELV Services / CCTV / card access, Fire alarm systems (FAS), nurse call, PA.
• Diploma in Engineering.
• Ability to understand financial data at contract level and identify appropriate actions indicated by variances to ensure key metrics are achieved.
• Ability to obtain relevant information on operational issues from multiple sources, think broadly about those issues and recognize trends/possible cause-effect relationships.
• The ability to make considered and effective decisions and take clear action to address issues.
• The ability to mobilize resources and develop and implement action plans / control mechanisms to achieve desired results and deliver on commitments.
• The ability to understand the implications and assess the appropriate degree of acceptable risk and take actions to minimize risk.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for completing assigned projects or work packages.
• Ensures on time delivery of projects, within scope and with zero or positive deviation.
• Implement all applicable aspects of the HBS Project Management Methodology during the execution of projects through the use of ProjectVision.
• Maintain a comprehensive Risk & Opportunity Schedule throughout the project life cycle.
• Maintain an effective project documentation process to support extension of time claims, change order management and progress claims
• Undertake site management of installation & commissioning activities involving direct resources, subcontractors and 3rd parties including the customer.
• Ensure applicable local and industry codes and standards are upheld.
• Ensures that Honeywell SOPs are adhered to.
• Drive for a safe and healthy work environment through effective communication, training and monitoring.
• Maintain a work breakdown structure (WBS) throughout the project life cycle.
• Ensure that the Estimate to Complete (ETC) includes all outstanding contracted works and that the Estimate at Completion (EAC) is reviewed each month.
• Work with Integrated Supply Chain to ensure all Post Award Savings are reflected in the Gross Margin.
• Coordinate the activities of sub-contractors to ensure they have sufficiently resources to maintain the program of works
• Coordinate the technical requirements of the project with the Engineering Leader to ensure the final solution meets the requirements of the specification.
• Drive lower cost to serve through value Engineer and use of GES.
