Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of IAM/platform engineering, automation or related experience.
• Hands-on with directory/identity technologies (AD, LDAP, AD FS, Entra ID).
• Strong knowledge of SAML, OAuth and OpenID Connect protocols.
• Experience with Microsoft Graph API for identity management or automation.
• Strong scripting/automation using PowerShell or Python.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced IAM & Platform Automation Engineer to support the implementation, operation and continuous improvement of enterprise identity and access management (IAM) platforms.

The successful candidate will work across identity services, authentication and federation technologies, platform automation and operational support. The role requires hands-on experience with the Microsoft identity ecosystem, scripting and automation, as well as a strong understanding of modern authentication and authorisation protocols.

Key Responsibilities

Identity & Access Management

• Design, implement, configure and maintain enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions.
• Support the delivery, operation and continuous improvement of identity solutions used across multiple stakeholders and environments.
• Configure and manage directory, identity brokering and federation technologies, including Active Directory, AD FS, PKI and Microsoft Entra ID .
• Implement and support authentication and authorisation protocols including SAML, OAuth and OpenID Connect (OIDC) .
• Support Kerberos-based authentication where required.
• Use Microsoft Graph API for identity administration, system integration and automation.
• Ensure IAM platforms meet organisational requirements for security, resilience, governance and compliance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve identity, authentication, access and platform-related incidents.

Platform Automation & Operations

• Develop and maintain scripts, tools and automation to improve operational efficiency and reduce repetitive manual activities.
• Build and maintain platform and deployment automation using scripting, configuration management and CI/CD practices.
• Apply DevSecOps principles to identity, platform and security automation.
• Automate operational and administrative activities using PowerShell, Python or similar scripting technologies .
• Support day-to-day platform operations, incident resolution and troubleshooting.
• Contribute to system monitoring, testing, documentation, change management and operational readiness.
• Participate in operational support and incident response activities where required.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work closely with technical teams to plan, implement and support IAM and platform automation initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, vendors and technology partners to troubleshoot issues and deliver solutions.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Prepare and maintain relevant technical and operational documentation.
• Share technical knowledge and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM), platform engineering, automation or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with directory and identity technologies such as Active Directory, LDAP, AD FS and Microsoft Entra ID .
• Strong understanding of identity and federation protocols including SAML, OAuth and OpenID Connect .
• Knowledge of Kerberos authentication will be an advantage.
• Experience using Microsoft Graph API for identity management, integration or automation.
• Strong scripting and automation experience using PowerShell, Python or similar technologies .
• Experience with CI/CD, configuration management or platform automation practices will be advantageous.
• Good troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in an onsite, collaborative and operational environment.
