Job summary

EXYTE SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking an ELV design engineer to design control systems, life safety networks and IT cabling for process and building projects in Singapore. You will develop P&IDs and IO lists, coordinate across trades and assist with procurement, installation and commissioning activities on multiple packages.

The role emphasizes interface with clients and vendors, adherence to codes, and timely delivery of milestones, with supervision support as needed.

Qualifications

Experience in design, installation, programming, commissioning of Process and Building control systems
Experience in Extra Low Voltage Systems such as Fire Alarm, Security systems, IT data network
Experience in construction management

Responsibilities

Design of control systems, instrumentation, cabling and cable support systems for Process equipment,
Industrial Facilities and Commercial Buildings, with the support of a senior engineer if necessary
Design of Life Safety System comprising of Public Address Systems, Access control, Closed Circuit Television, Gas Detection and Fire Alarm systems with the support of a senior engineer if necessary
Design of Information Technology cabling system with the support of a senior engineer if necessary
Develop P&IDs, Instruments and IO list, Sequence of Operations, Logic Diagrams, Cause and effect matrices with the support of a senior engineer if necessary
Develop / Execute / Expedite ELV packages during design, procurement, construction phase of a project and taking responsibility for the assigned packages
Co-ordination and scheduling activities for the ELV supervisors on a project to ensure timely delivery at project milestone dates
Interfacing with other trades during design phase and incorporate their requirements into the ELV systems design
Technical Evaluation of vendor submissions including approval of shop drawings
Preparing the procedure for testing and commissioning of individual system and manage subcontractor during commissioning of the Extra Low Voltage systems
Guiding Designer / Draftsman for preparing cable routing plan, hookup drawings, wiring drawings, cable schedule, Junction Box schedule, Instrument Air manifold schedule, Block diagrams, P&IDs, Control System Schematic
Prepare Extra Low Voltage System tender packages including specification and drawings.
Responsible for ensuring to remain familiar with latest country codes, current practices and engineering trends within the industry
Tendering and estimating of Extra Low Voltage system works for projects prior to award
Prepare Technical Bid evaluations and recommendations during project execution
Compilation and Review of Operation and Maintenance Dossier for Projects
Liaise with Clients, Consultants, equipment vendors and suppliers where required to ensure compatibility of design interfaces during construction activity
Adherence to the Corporate and Project Quality Management System
To take role as Work Package Owner (WPO) responsible for packages progress to completion with help of supervisor and final handover documents
Ad-hoc duties as determined by management
