Job summary

Corning Incorporated is seeking a technical sales engineer to drive adoption of innovations at major HSDC customers in APAC. The role requires building deep relationships with key contacts, design consultants, and installers while delivering consultative, technically robust solutions.

You will collaborate with Market Development and PMO to identify opportunities, act as SME for hyperscale DC sites, and support customers through deployment with a strong focus on data center networks and new EEG

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or science field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of sales, project management, or data center product or design experience.
• Prefer prior experience as a Field Engineer, Systems Engineer and/or Applications Engineer, technical designer, Installation contractor, or managing installation projects.
• Strong knowledge of Data Center networks.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint).

Responsibilities

• Drive the adoption of innovations at hyperscale, strategic and global accounts; provide technical sales and engineering support.
• Build deep local relationships with customer contacts, design consultants and installers.
• Define customer needs and provide innovative solutions meeting requirements.
• Coordinate with Market Development, PLM Application Solutions, and PMO to identify sales opportunities.
• Act as SME for assigned Hyperscale DC sites and provide technical support to account teams.
• Facilitate field trials and define criteria for successful trials; forecast purchasing timelines.
• Provide technical support during implementation and deployment phases.
• Develop customer, installer, consultant and integrator champions for innovations.
• Recommend network infrastructure design and new innovations for data center applications.
• Review technical specs and assist BOM development for bids/tenders.
• Stay updated on optical networking trends and APAC CDP strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional resources to support customers.
