Job summary

Samaritans of Singapore Limited seeks an Intern to join the Strategy and Research team, assisting on research, project coordination, documentation, data support and event planning. You will help produce materials and reports that inform SOS's organisational strategy and suicide prevention efforts.

The internship offers exposure to how research, data and strategy translate into planning and implementation within the social service sector, with hybrid location and full-time hours.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or completed qualification in psychology, social work, sociology, public health or related field.
• Passionate about mental health advocacy and suicide prevention.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to convey complex information clearly.
• Strong project coordination skills with ability to manage priorities and deliverables.
• Independent yet collaborative, able to work with a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Sensitive to mental health, suicide, and trauma with confidentiality and ethics awareness.

Responsibilities

• Support literature reviews, environmental scans, benchmarking and background research.
• Prepare tables, charts, summaries and materials to communicate research and data clearly.
• Coordinate meetings, including scheduling, agendas, action tracking and follow up.
• Take meeting notes and maintain project documentation, trackers and shared repositories.
• Consolidate stakeholder feedback from meetings, consultations and workshops.
• Prepare and organise event and facilitation materials, workshop resources and presentation decks.
• Contribute to reports, presentations, research summaries and briefing materials.
• Support coordination with internal and external stakeholders and progress milestones.
• Provide logistical, administrative and project coordination support as needed.
• Support other Strategy and Research projects and departmental priorities.
