Job summary

Manulife is seeking a Director of Portfolio Management to drive enterprise-wide portfolio strategy and governance. This leader will align investments with corporate objectives, own benefits realization, and influence senior leadership decisions across strategic initiatives.

You will oversee roadmaps, demand prioritization, capacity planning, and cross-functional programs with a focus on value delivery and transparent risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent.
• Preferred: Master’s degree or PfMP/PMP/SAFe POPM/MoP.
• Certifications in Agile/Lean (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban) desirable.
• 10–15 years in portfolio/program mgmt in large enterprises.
• Experience with senior leadership and governance bodies.
• Strong communication and stakeholder skills.
• Familiarity with portfolio tools.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive portfolio strategy in line with corporate objectives.
• Lead governance and prioritization decisions across major programs.
• Monitor KPIs, OKRs, and benefits realization.
• Oversee resource capacity planning and delivery timelines.
• Communicate portfolio value, risk, and cost to executives.
• Lead strategic programs with cross-functional teams.
• Engage stakeholders to align enterprise objectives.
