Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or psychology.
• 14+ years of broad HR experience in large organisations.
• Experience in a growing or transforming business environment.
• 3+ years of HR leadership experience within F&B/retail/fast-food sectors preferred.
• Proven ability to lead teams and influence senior stakeholders.

Job description

On behalf of a global food manufacturing client, we are searching for a Head of Human Resources for Singapore Office. The Head of Human Resources partners with the General Manager of Singapore in driving the strategic direction related to human resources and people development in alignment with the achievement of business goals. The current staff strength is around 200 in Singapore alone.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and execute short-, medium- and long-term HR strategies aligned with the organisation's business goals and growth plans.
• Build strong working relationships with the GM, management team and key stakeholders, and regularly assess the organisation's people and HR requirements.
• Review, develop and implement HR policies, processes and operating guidelines, ensuring alignment with business direction and applicable employment practices.
• Develop workforce and talent strategies to ensure the organisation has the right capabilities, talent mix and employment models to support future growth.
• Lead succession planning and talent development initiatives to strengthen the leadership pipeline and ensure continuity for critical management roles.
• Design, review and implement competitive compensation and benefits strategies that are fair, consistent and aligned with market practices.
• Strengthen organisational culture by reinforcing the Company's values and expected leadership behaviours.
• Develop and implement relevant employee engagement, retention and people initiatives that support business and organisational priorities.
• Review and redesign organisational structures, roles, workflows and ways of working to improve efficiency, accountability and business performance.
• Facilitate strategic planning and people discussions with the GM and Management Team to ensure alignment between business objectives, organisation structure and people strategy.
• Act as a trusted HR adviser to senior leadership, providing practical and commercially sound guidance on people, organisation and workforce matters.

CRITERIA

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources of Psychology or related discipline.
• At least 14 years of broad and progressive HR experience, preferably from medium to large complex organization.
• Strong experience supporting a growing or transforming business environment.
• Preferably at least 3 years of relevant HR leadership experience within the F&B, restaurant, retail or fast-food chain industry.
• Proven experience leading teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
• Strong commercial and operational business acumen, with the ability to translate business priorities into practical HR strategies.
• Demonstrated strategic thinking, executive presence, presentation and influencing skills
• Comfortable working in a matrix organisation and able to operate effectively in situations involving ambiguity, change and competing priorities.
• Hands-on and execution-oriented, with the ability to move between strategic planning and operational delivery.
