Job summary

The Human Factors & Simulations Centre of Expertise at HTX in Singapore seeks a Human Performance Scientist to advance officer performance through human factors, physiology and simulation research. You will design experiments, collect and analyse data, and communicate findings to project teams and stakeholders.

Two years of professional experience, a science degree, and hands-on biosensor know-how are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or related field.
• At least two years of professional experience.
• Experience with laboratory equipment for physiological and performance data collection.
• Strong ability to work with biosensor technologies and software applications.
• Solid background in human physiology and research methodology.
• Ability to read and discuss research materials.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Recruit Home Team officers and civilians for human subjects research; obtain informed consent.
• Write IRB protocols and obtain approvals; monitor modifications.
• Procure and maintain laboratory equipment; write SOPs for equipment.
• Collect physiological, biological, health, and performance data from human subjects.
• Prepare and conduct experimental tests in field and lab settings; manage data collection.
• Perform data management and statistical analyses.
• Contribute to scientific and research documentation; assist with publications.
• Develop and write research proposals; present findings to stakeholders.
