Position Summary
The HR Technology & Governance Specialist is responsible for supporting HR technology platforms, maintaining HR data integrity, and ensuring compliance with controls and governance requirements across HR processes. This role partners closely with HR, IT, Internal Audit, Risk, and Finance teams to strengthen controls, monitor compliance, support audits, and drive continuous improvements in HR systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a key functional lead for HR ticketing systems, Workday, or related HR platforms. Manage system configuration, security roles, workflow updates, testing, and enhancements.
- Support system upgrades, releases, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Troubleshoot HR system issues and coordinate resolutions with IT and external vendors.
- Maintain HR technology documentation, process maps, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Execute and monitor HR controls to ensure compliance with internal control requirements.
- Perform periodic reviews of HR processes, system access, approvals, and control effectiveness.
- Maintain evidence and documentation required for control & compliance testing and external audits.
- Partner with Internal Audit, Risk Management, and Finance teams during control assessments and audit reviews.
- Identify control gaps and support the implementation of remediation plans.
- Ensure HR processes comply with established governance frameworks and corporate policies.
- Ensure employee data integrity, accuracy, completeness, and consistency across HR systems.
- Conduct regular data audits and reconciliation activities.
- Monitor and review HR system security roles, segregation of duties (SoD), and access controls.
- Support compliance with data privacy regulations and information security requirements.
- Maintain governance standards for employee lifecycle transactions, including hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations.
- Work closely with HR Operations, HRIS, IT, Finance, Compliance, and Internal Audit teams.
- Provide guidance to HR users on governance requirements and control procedures.
- Support training and awareness initiatives related to HR compliance and SOX controls.
- Act as a trusted advisor on HR technology governance and control-related matter
Required Qualifications
- Education Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Experience 3–7 years of experience in HRIS, HR Operations, HR Technology, SOX Compliance, Internal Controls, Audit, or Governance functions.
- Experience supporting enterprise HR systems such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, or similar platforms.
- Experience supporting controls, audit engagements, operational risk management, or compliance programs.
- Familiarity with HR processes, employee lifecycle management, and shared services operations.
