Job summary

Tencent is expanding its in-house sourcing hub and seeks motivated interns in recruiting. You will collaborate with the hiring team to define requirements, source candidates, and build talent pools across regions.

You’ll explore AI-driven HR tools and develop dashboards with Power BI/Tableau to improve reporting and efficiency. Ideal candidates are undergraduates or master’s students in HR with Boolean search experience, strong analytics, and the ability to work across cultures.

Qualifications

• Currently an undergraduate or master’s degree student in Human Resources or a related field.
• Ideally with prior recruitment and/or sourcing experience with exposure to Boolean searches.
• Strong analytical skills, ability to gather and analyse information, and identify problems.
• Able to adapt to cross-regional and cross-cultural work patterns with good teamwork and communication.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin for global/China HQ communication.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the hiring team to understand requirements and qualifications to source open positions.
• Research AI trends in HR to identify candidate sources and market trends.
• Build Talent Pools for evergreen roles and maintain candidate pipelines across platforms.
• Outreach with potential candidates via emails, social media, or calls to gauge interest.
• Build and maintain HR dashboards using Power BI/Tableau (headcount, turnover, time-to-fill, DE&I metrics).
• Evaluate and test AI-powered HR tools to automate tasks and improve reporting.
• Identify automation opportunities across HR operations (report generation, surveys, document processing).

In line with this initiative, we are seeking motivated interns who have a keen interest in the field of recruiting and are eager to deepen their understanding of the intricacies involved in talent identification and acquisition.

• Collaborating with the hiring team to understand their specific requirements and qualifications required to source for open positions
• Conducting research and emerging AI trends in HR to understand where potential candidates may be found, best methods to engage with them and market/industry trends
• Building Talent Pools for evergreen positions, keeping and maintaining candidate pipelines across various platforms and groups
• Outreach and engagement with potential candidates through emails, social media, or phone calls to gauge their interest in open positions and to inform them about job opportunities
• Build and maintain HR dashboards & reports (headcount, turnover, time-to-fill, DE&I metrics) using tools like Power BI, Tableau
• Evaluate, test, and maintain the rollout of AI-powered HR tools for automating repetitive tasks, enhancing reporting, and streamlining HR workflows
• Identify opportunities for process automation across HR operations (e.g., report generation, survey analysis, document processing)

Qualifications

• Currently an undergraduate or master’s degree student in Human Resources or or a related field
• Ideally with prior recruitment and/or sourcing experiece with exposure to Boolean searches
• Strong analytical skills, proficiency in gathering and analysing information, and ability to identify problems through the information.
• Ability to adapt to cross-regional and cross-cultural work patterns. Great teamwork spirit, strong communication skills, and fast-learning ability.
• Require bilingual proficiency as communications and materials are regularly shared in both English and Mandarin with the global and China HQ teams.
