Job summary

NEW HOPE COMMUNITY SERVICES LIMITED seeks a Social Worker – Social Housing to provide psychosocial assessment, case management and targeted interventions for tenants in rental housing projects. Qualifications

• Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Registered / eligible for registration with the relevant professional social work body.
• At least 2 years of relevant working experience in similar sectors.
• Competency in casework, group work and community work practice.
• Ability to design, facilitate and evaluate social programmes and interventions.
• Strong engagement and communication skills with vulnerable populations.
• Ability to work collaboratively across professional, operational and community systems.
• Willing to conduct home visits in residential and community settings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychosocial assessment and case management to identify tenants’ strengths, needs and risks.
• Develop person-centred intervention and support plans with tenants.
• Provide individual and family casework interventions to address presenting needs.
• Support tenants facing financial hardship, wellbeing, family relationships and other housing sustainability factors.
• Plan, facilitate and evaluate social work groups addressing tenant needs and resilience.
• Design, implement and evaluate programmes addressing housing sustainability and community needs.
• Engage tenants through outreach, community activities and peer-led initiatives.
• Coordinate referrals and maintain accurate case documentation in line with standards.

Education

Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution
