Job summary

JEN SINGAPORE TANGLIN BY SHANGRI-LA is seeking a Senior Manager to assist the Director of Engineering in leading the Engineering & Maintenance Department, with responsibility for both Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance teams to ensure safe, efficient hotel operations.

You will oversee energy management, BMS operations, and sustainability initiatives, drive cost control, regulatory compliance, and contribute to Green Mark performance and ESG goals.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.
• 5–7 years’ experience in hotel engineering/facilities management with leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of energy management practices and building systems.
• Familiarity with BCA Green Mark framework and sustainability reporting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily work of Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance teams.
• Develop and monitor preventive maintenance programs for hotel facilities and systems.
• Oversee Building Management System (BMS) for energy performance and efficiency.
• Lead sustainability initiatives, including Green Mark certification efforts.
• Monitor utility consumption and implement energy and water conservation measures.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and safety standards; respond to emergencies as needed.
• Prepare reports on audits, energy savings, and sustainability performance.
