Job summary

THYE HUA KWAN NURSING HOME LIMITED in Singapore is seeking a caregiver assistant to support elderly clients during centre activities and programmes. The role involves basic cleaning, pottering, and assisting nursing staff with simple client care procedures.

You will help with positioning, transfers and ambulation, while ensuring the centre remains clean and orderly. Other duties may include housekeeping tasks and ad hoc assignments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist and supervise elderly clients in the centre
• Assist in positioning, transfers and ambulating of clients
• Maintain cleanliness of the centre's environment including equipment, furniture and tools
• Provide incidental housekeeping duties such as cleaning and mopping up spillage, discharge and breakages
• Any other tasks assigned by the Centre Manager
• Any other ad hoc projects assigned by supervisor.

Job description

1. JOB PURPOSE

To assist and supervise elderly clients while they are engaging in the centre's programmes and activities. Responsible for basic cleaning,pottering and dispatching duties and assisting the nursing staff in some basic procedures related to client care.

2. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Responsibilities and Duties (90%)

• Assist and supervise elderly clients in the centre
• Assist in positioning, transfers and ambulating of clients
• Maintain cleanliness of the centre's environment including equipment, furniture and tools

Secondary Responsibilities and duties (10%)

• Provide incidental housekeeping duties such as cleaning and mopping up spillage, discharge and breakages
• Any other tasks assigned by the Centre Manager
• Any other ad hoc projects assigned by supervisor.
