Job summary

SRI BISTARI@WOODLANDS PTE. LTD. is seeking a front-of-house service staff member in Singapore to greet patrons, take and relay orders, and ensure a pleasant dining experience.

In this role you will serve meals and beverages, explain menu items and recommendations, and help maintain a clean and welcoming dining area. The position is full-time and based on-site at our Singapore location.

Responsibilities

• Take orders from patrons for food or beverages and relay them to the kitchen.
• Check with customers to ensure satisfaction and address any problems.
• Serve food or beverages to patrons at tables.
• Present menus and answer questions about items; share recommendations.
• Explain preparation methods and ingredients when asked.
• Clean tables or counters after patrons finish dining.
• Other tasks as allocated by the manager.

Job description

• Check with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.
• Take orders from patrons for food or beverages. Write patrons’ food orders on order slips, memorize orders, or enter orders into computers for transmittal to kitchen staff.
• Serve food or beverages to patrons, and prepare or serve specialty dishes at tables as required.
• Present menus to patrons and answer questions about menu items, making recommendations upon request. Explain how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods.
• Clean tables or counters after patrons have finished dining.
• Other job task allocated by manager.
