Job summary

Capella Singapore is seeking a Head Sommelier to lead the wine program across all outlets and the club, crafting bespoke pairings and driving guest satisfaction. You will manage inventory, train teams, and elevate wine service to support the hotel’s renowned dining experience.

The role entails coordinating wine events, developing retail initiatives, and collaborating with Purchasing, Culinary and Marketing to optimize wine revenue and brand presence.

Qualifications

• WSET 3 Certification and/or Certified Court of Master Sommelier (CMS) preferred.
• Experience inventorying 250+ wine labels across outlets.
• Experience in a luxury hotel setting and fine dining environments.
• Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and sourcing.

Responsibilities

• Lead wine program across all Capella Singapore outlets and club.
• Create bespoke wine pairings and wine-forward packages for events and menus.
• Oversee wine cellar stock, inventory control and rotation.
• Train teams and elevate wine service with exceptional guest interaction.
• Plan and coordinate wine events, promotions, and retail initiatives.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Culinary and Marketing to grow wine revenue.
