Job summary

National Library Board (NLB) in Singapore seeks a senior security lead to shape and drive the organisation's physical security strategy and capability development. You will anticipate threats, set policies, and work with government agencies to strengthen overall security posture.

The role focuses on governance, transformation through technology, and strategic procurement, with a two-year contract and cross-divisional collaboration to protect staff, assets and visitors.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in physical security or security management with leadership experience.
• Strong experience in security strategy, risk assessment, policy development, governance and long-term capability planning.
• Knowledge of government security requirements, procurement policies and governance frameworks would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and drive NLB's medium- to long-term physical security strategy and capability roadmap.
• Establish a risk-based approach towards physical security planning and mitigate vulnerabilities.
• Lead development and governance of physical security policies, standards and governance framework across NLB premises.
• Identify and evaluate emerging security technologies and plan their integration into security systems.
• Drive transformation of security through technology, analytics and data for better situational awareness.
• Provide security input into planning of new NLB facilities and major upgrading projects.
• Plan long-term security infrastructure and systems including access control and surveillance.
• Establish assurance, audit and performance frameworks to assess security controls.
• Provide senior-level oversight for major security incidents and translate learnings into improvements.
• Develop and prioritise security investment plans and procurement governance.
