Job summary

National Library Board (NLB) is seeking a senior security leader to shape and drive the physical security strategy and capability development across its libraries, archives and facilities. You will anticipate threats, govern policies, and lead the transformation of security through technology, data and new operating models.

You will collaborate with senior management and external partners to ensure a future-ready security posture, aligning investments with organisational risk and asset

Qualifications

• Proven experience in security strategy and capability development.
• Ability to lead governance, policies and standards for security.
• Experience with risk assessment and mitigation planning for multiple premises.
• Familiarity with security technology trends and project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Develop medium- to long-term physical security strategy and roadmaps.
• Assess threats, vulnerabilities and risks for premises and translate into mitigation plans.
• Lead policy development and governance for security standards across premises.
• Evaluate emerging security technologies and plan renewal of systems.
• Drive security transformation using analytics, data and automation.
• Provide security input in planning of new facilities and major upgrades.
• Plan infrastructure for access control, surveillance and related technologies.
• Establish assurance, audit and performance frameworks for security controls.
• Oversee major security incidents and translate lessons into improvements.
• Prioritize security investments, budgets and long-term contracting models.
• Coordinate with stakeholders across government, industry partners and service providers.
