Job summary

United Overseas Bank Ltd in Singapore seeks a seasoned Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and support a resilient IT platform. You will manage Windows Server, Linux, VMware, and container technologies such as OpenShift and Kubernetes across on‑prem and cloud environments.

Responsibilities include automation with Terraform, Chef, and Ansible; DR planning; security/compliance; and vendor coordination. A degree in CS and 5+ years' experience are required for this role in Singapore.

Qualifications

5+ years of server/system administration experience with troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
Experience building, configuring and deploying infrastructure (on-prem, private/public cloud).
Proficient with Terraform, Chef and Ansible for IaC and automation.
Strong knowledge of Windows Server, RHEL/Unix, VMware, OpenShift and Kubernetes.
Hands-on with cloud providers: AWS, Azure and GCP; ability to integrate with third-party platforms.

Responsibilities

Build and support a highly available, secure, and recoverable IT infrastructure and platform.
Implement infrastructure as code, maintain patching, backups, and DR readiness.
Monitor performance, enforce security/compliance, and coordinate with vendors.
Support architects, service build, change management and service recovery teams.
Participate in audits and evaluate tech refresh and EOS/EOL plans.
