Job summary

UNITED OVERSEAS INSURANCE LIMITED invites applications for Head of Finance to lead the Group's finance function, including reporting, budgeting, capital management, and governance. This role partners with the CEO, Board, regulators, and auditors to ensure financial integrity and sustainable profitability in a regulated general insurance environment.

The successful candidate will drive strategy, oversee IFRS 17 compliance, capital adequacy, and risk management, and lead a high-performing finance

Qualifications

• Degree in Accountancy, Finance or related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent.
• Minimum 15 years' relevant experience, including significant leadership experience.
• Strong background in general insurance, reinsurance, or financial services.
• Sound knowledge of IFRS 17, regulatory reporting, capital management, and risk management frameworks.
• Experience engaging with Boards, regulators, auditors, and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the finance, accounting, treasury, and finance operations functions.
• Provide strategic financial advice to the CEO and Board.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, business planning, and performance management.
• Oversee timely and accurate financial reporting in IFRS, listing rules, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead risk management, governance, and capital management initiatives.
