A non-profit healthcare organization in Singapore seeks a Finance Director to develop strategic financial initiatives and ensure compliance with regulations. Applicants should hold a degree in finance and possess at least 10 years of financial experience, including a strong background in leadership within the healthcare or non-profit sectors. Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Strategy & Leadership
Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the Foundation’s mission and long-term goals
Advise the CEO and Board on financial planning, risk, and investment decisions
Drive financial modelling, scenario planning, and sustainability planning for healthcare programmes
2. Financial Management & Reporting
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Monitor and manage cash flow, reserves, and financial performance metrics
3. Governance, Audit & Compliance
Ensure compliance with Charities Accounting Standards (CAS), IRAS, and regulations from the Commissioner of Charities
Lead audit processes, liaising with external auditors and the Audit & Risk Committee
Maintain strong internal controls and financial policies in line with best governance practices
4. Grants, Donor & Fund Management
Oversee management and reporting of government grants, restricted funds, and donor contributions
Ensure proper tracking, utilisation, and accountability of earmarked funds
Support fundraising efforts through financial input and impact analysis
5. Team & Operational Leadership
Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance team
Oversee financial systems, technology upgrades, and process improvements
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, fundraising, patient welfare and clinical teams to align budgeting with service needs
Requirements
Qualifications
Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field
Chartered Accountant (CA Singapore) or equivalent professional certification preferred
Experience
Minimum 10 years of progressive finance experience, including 5+ years in leadership roles
Proven track record in financial management, budgeting, audit, and compliance
Experience in the healthcare, social service, or non-profit sector is highly desirable
