Job summary

sggovterp is seeking an Assistant Director, CCA Training & Programmes in the Student Development Office for a two-year contract to lead strategic student development initiatives and oversee governance, safety, and partnerships, delivering high-quality programmes.

The role requires a degree and at least three years of leadership experience in youth development, with strong governance, incident management, and programme delivery skills to foster holistic student growth and well-being.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience in student development or youth-focused roles.
• Minimum 3 years' leadership experience in student development, youth engagement, co-curricular, education or similar programmes.
• Demonstrated experience in governance and compliance, including implementation and review of policies and SOPs, ensuring duty-of-care requirements, managing incident reporting and escalation processes.
• Strong programme and event management experience, including end-to-end planning cycles, coordination with internal stakeholders and external vendors or coaches, and evaluation of outcomes.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders and engage external partners to support effective programme delivery.
• Advantage: Relevant certifications or training in safety, risk management, first aid, programme management, and familiarity with CCA ecosystems and safety management for student activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, curate and implement CCA and wellness programmes to drive student participation and holistic growth.
• Review governance frameworks, policies and SOPs for safe, compliant delivery.
• Establish escalation and incident management processes for safety and compliance.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to enhance programme impact.
• Coach and mentor senior managers and managers to strengthen team effectiveness and staff development.
