OISHI MANUFACTURING PTE. LTD. is seeking a Handyman for our Singapore factory to perform general maintenance and AC upkeep, ensuring a safe working environment and smooth operations.

You will handle electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical tasks, and coordinate with external contractors for major repairs. We value hands-on experience in factory settings, the ability to read diagrams and blueprints, and a proactive, independent work style.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification or vocational training in HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, or electrical work is a plus.
• Experience as handyman or in a similar maintenance role with AC maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
• Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, and blueprints.

Responsabilidades

• General Maintenance: inspect facilities and perform routine maintenance on electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
• AC Maintenance: inspect, clean, service AC units; troubleshoot minor issues and coordinate major repairs.
• Equipment Support: assist with repairs and maintenance of factory equipment and machinery.
• Building Repairs: fix walls, ceilings, flooring, shelves and storage installations.
• Safety & Compliance: uphold health and safety regulations; report hazards; maintain tidy workspaces.
• Support for Operations: assist with moving/installing equipment and provide emergency support.
• Other Duties: support maintenance-related tasks for events or operations.

We are a homegrown manufacturer of ice cream and gelato, soft-serve premixes, and ready-to-eat bakery solutions. These are offered under our brands, Oishi and Artisertz, or as OEM products. Our facility is FSSC 22000 and BRCGS accredited, equipped with multiple production lines, and Halal certified. Our products are sold to both local and international clients across ASEAN.

Job Purpose:

The Handyman is responsible for performing general maintenance, repair, and basic construction tasks within the factory premises to ensure smooth operations and a safe working environment, including air conditioning (AC) maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. General Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections of factory facilities to identify maintenance needs.
   Perform routine maintenance tasks, including fixing electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical issues.
   Ensure the proper functioning of doors, windows, lighting systems, and other fixtures.
   
2. AC Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections, cleaning, and servicing of air conditioning systems to ensure optimal performance.
   Troubleshoot and repair minor issues with AC units, including electrical and mechanical components.
   Replace filters, clean coils, and check refrigerant levels as part of preventative maintenance.
   Coordinate with external contractors for major AC repairs or servicing when needed.
   
3. Equipment and Machinery Support: Assist with minor repairs and maintenance of factory equipment and machinery.
   Report major equipment breakdowns to the maintenance team or supervisor.
   
4. Building Repairs: Repair structural issues, such as walls, ceilings, flooring, and paintwork.
   Install or fix shelves, cabinets, and other storage solutions.
   
5. Electrical and Plumbing Tasks: Replace or repair faulty light fixtures, sockets, and electrical wiring.
   Unblock drains, repair leaks, and ensure proper functioning of plumbing systems.
   
6. Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all tasks.
   Report any hazards or safety concerns to the management immediately.
   Maintain clean and organized workspaces during and after tasks.
   
7. Support for Factory Operations: Assist with moving or installing equipment, furniture, or materials as required.
   Provide support during factory emergencies, such as electrical outages, leaks, or AC failures.
   
8. Other Duties: Provide ad hoc support for factory events or operational needs. Assist other teams with maintenance-related tasks as requested.
   

Requirements:

1. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent.
   Certification or vocational training in relevant fields (e.g., HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, or electrical work) is a plus.
   
2. Experience: Proven experience as a handyman or in a similar maintenance role. Experience in AC system maintenance is required. Familiarity with factory environments is preferred.
   
3. Skills: Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
   Proficiency with hand and power tools.
   Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, and blueprints.
   
4. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry heavy items.
   Comfortable working in various conditions (e.g., heights, confined spaces, or outdoors).
   
5. Personal Traits: Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
   Good communication and teamwork abilities.
   Proactive and able to work independently.
