Job summary

SIMPLEXITY TECH SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a hands-on Data Centre Technician on a 6-month contract in Singapore. You will engage in daily data centre operations, hardware support, and ongoing system/network tasks in a 24/7 environment.

You will work closely with engineers to gain practical exposure to servers, networking, and data centre operations, while maintaining documentation and coordinating with vendors. Fresh graduates with relevant training are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

Diploma or degree in IT, Networking, Computer Engineering, or related field.
Basic understanding of IT hardware, networking, and structured cabling.
Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow processes and documentation.
Good teamwork and communication skills.
Willingness to work in a shift-based, 24/7 environment.

Responsibilities

Perform IMACD of IT equipment such as servers, network devices, and storage systems.
Carry out basic hardware troubleshooting and component replacement.
Manage structured cabling, including patching and labeling.
Conduct routine inspections to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Support maintenance activities such as power-down/up operations.
Assist with basic Linux system setup and troubleshooting.
Help diagnose hardware and connectivity issues under guidance from senior engineers.
Maintain accurate records of equipment and assets in the data centre.
Support capacity tracking (rack space, power, cooling, connectivity).
Escort and coordinate with vendors and ensure site procedures.
