Job summary

Charterhouse Partnership is partnering with a fast-growing technology startup to recruit a Group Finance Manager. This newly created role will partner with the Group Financial Controller to drive automation, process improvements and scalable financial operations across APAC.

You will oversee consolidation, tax, and month-end closings while mentoring offshore teams and leading ERP improvements to support aggressive expansion into new territories.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting/finance degree; ACCA/CPA desirable.
• 8–12 years of progressive experience, preferably in tech/startup environments.
• Breadth of technical accounting, group finance, consolidation, and financial operations expertise.
• Deep knowledge of regional tax and statutory reporting; establish internal controls.
• Digital acumen and ability to drive finance transformation and automation.
• Builder mindset; create processes, not just follow them.
• Entrepreneurial, proactive, able to navigate ambiguity and change.
• Strong ownership, accountability, and data-driven decision support.
• Fluent English and Mandarin with excellent communication skills.

Newly Created Position as Group Finance Manager, with a Technology Start Up at an Aggressive Expansion Phase

Our client is a well-backed technology brand at hypergrowth phase. Pursuing continued global expansion and built around a distinctive value proposition that addresses an area of strong vested interest and relevance across global markets, they are therefore looking to hire a high caliber leader as Group Finance Manager.

The ideal candidate will partner the Group Financial Controller in shaping the future of a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial business. Being the driving force behind automation, process optimization, and strategic regional expansion, key responsibilities include:

• Drive Regional Consolidation: Own the financial consolidation across all APAC business units and spearhead the Group’s financial audit process.
• Lead Financial Operations: Oversee daily functions (AR, GL, and tax), manage intercompany accounting, and ensure flawless month-end closings.
• Empower Offshore Teams: Supervise, mentor, and elevate offshore finance members, fostering their professional growth and development.
• Champion Transformation: Act as a key stakeholder in regional ERP implementations, system enhancements, and process automation.
• Fuel Market Expansion: Partner with the business to research, strategize, and execute financial and regulatory setups for exciting new territory entries.
• Optimize Controls & Compliance: Develop and enforce robust internal control procedures while managing cross-border tax compliance (CIT and GST).
• Solve Complex Challenges: Serve as the go-to expert for internal and external stakeholders to resolve complex financial queries and eliminate process inefficiencies.

Skills/Experience:

• Relevant accounting / finance degree from a reputable university, and/or ACCA / CPA is highly desirable
• Minimum of 8 - 12 years of progressive experience, preferably within Technology and/or Start up environments
• Proven breadth of technical accounting, group finance, consolidation, financial operations, leadership, and financial business partnering expertise required
• Deep knowledge of regional tax, statutory reporting requirements, and establishing internal controls
• Demonstrates digital acumen, driven strategic change and/or created finance operational improvements and structures
• A builder’s mindset - creating processes and not just following them
• Entrepreneurial. Able to think on your feet, be a problem solver and possess grit. Challenge the founders towards the right decisions made
• Comfortable with ambiguity and change, with the ability to prioritize and adapt quickly.
• Advance analytical skills to effectively understand and monetize data for creation of new revenue streams and improving decision support capabilities.
• Detail-oriented yet pragmatic, with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through.
• Effectively bilingual (English and Mandarin) with excellent verbal and written communication skills
