Responsibilities
Group financial reporting and accounting

- Review entity reporting submissions, including revenue, processing fees, FX income, operating expenses and digital asset balances, and investigate material variances.
- Manage group consolidation, including intercompany reconciliations and eliminations, foreign currency translation and consolidation adjustments.
- Maintain consistent group accounting policies and reporting templates, including for payment and digital asset activities, while accommodating local statutory requirements.
- Coordinate group and entity audits, tax filings and statutory reporting with local finance teams, auditors and advisers; monitor deadlines and resolve reporting issues.
Group reconciliation oversight and financial controls
- Oversee reconciliation controls across entities between internal transaction records, bank accounts, wallets, exchanges and payment providers, and monitor unresolved differences.
- Ensure merchant settlement liabilities and related cash and digital asset balances are accurately recorded and reconciled at entity and group level.
- Identify and elevate financial and operational risks across the group, and coordinate corrective actions with the relevant teams.
Treasury and liquidity oversight
- Review corporate cash, client funds, prefunding requirements and liquidity across entities, currencies and payment providers, maintaining visibility of restricted and available funds.
- Review banking, liquidity provider and conversion costs across the group, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency.
Business planning and analysis
- Coordinate entity budgets and forecasts, consolidate the group financial plan and prepare variance analysis by entity and for the group.
- Analyse revenue, gross margins and transaction profitability by entity, product, customer, market and provider.
- Support pricing decisions and assess the group and entity financial implications of new partnerships and services.
- Deliver clear financial insights and recommendations to the CFO and management on group performance, entity results and funding needs.
Regulatory support and process improvement
- Coordinate regulatory capital, liquidity and safeguarding calculations and reporting for the relevant licensed entities, and elevate actual or forecast shortfalls.
- Work with Compliance and local finance teams to maintain supporting records and address regulatory or banking requests across jurisdictions.
- Participate in new product and market launches, identifying entity responsibilities and accounting, reconciliation, funding and control requirements before implementation.
- Work with Product and Engineering to standardise and automate reporting and reconciliation processes across the group and reduce manual work.
- Guide finance team members and coordinate with local service providers, documenting group procedures and ensuring clear ownership and consistent execution.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline; CA, CPA or ACCA qualification preferred.
- At least 6 years of relevant experience, including responsibility for financial closing, group reporting and controls in a business with multiple entities.
- Experience in payments, fintech, banking or another regulated financial services business.
- Strong understanding of group consolidation, intercompany accounting, foreign currency translation, multi-currency transactions, merchant settlements and cash management.
- Experience with crypto or stablecoin payments, wallets and blockchain transaction records is an advantage.
- Strong Excel skills; experience with ERP systems, SQL or reporting automation is beneficial.
- Ability to investigate discrepancies, exercise sound judgment and raise concerns proactively.
