Job summary

PERSOL in Singapore invites applications for a Finance Executive (Grants) to support research activities through effective financial administration, budgeting, and grant management. The role collaborates with researchers and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting, compliance and smooth financial operations.

Based in One North, you will manage manpower budgets, grant utilization, fund requisitions, and audit support while maintaining detailed records in SAP and Excel.

Qualifications

• Min. Diploma/ Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel with strong attention to detail.
• Experience with SAP is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare manpower budgets and ensure accurate use of approved cost rates.
• Check budget and headcount availability for project hiring requests.
• Verify monthly manpower allocation with project leads.
• Update SAP to ensure staff costs are charged correctly.
• Track FTE, expenditure, and utilisation against approved budgets.
• Review charging information and resolve discrepancies.
• Allocate bonuses and related manpower costs to projects.
• Monitor grant utilisation and alert project teams of low balances.
• Prepare timely and accurate fund requisitions and final statements of accounts.
• Ensure manpower utilisation is reflected in submissions.
• Reconcile financial accounts and explain variances.
• Review expenditure submissions and address issues to support timely reimbursement.
• Prepare documentation required for grant audits and respond to auditors.
• Coordinate with auditors to resolve issues.
• Perform additional tasks to support research finance and grant operations.
