Job summary

TikTok is seeking talented engineers to join its Search Team in Singapore to build and own our search engine, integrating information retrieval with modern machine learning methods such as NLP, CV, multimodal, and recommender systems to deliver the best user experience.

You will work within AI Search & AI Bot, Multimodal Large Model, Local Services Search, Vertical Search, and Search Ranking teams to push scalable, real-time search capabilities that empower billions of users worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Development, Computer Science or related field.
• Proficient in C++/Python/Java with strong algorithms/data structures.
• Solid knowledge of machine learning and practical exposure.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to derive insights from data.

Responsibilities

• Optimize and develop full-stack search algorithms for local services search.
• Improve TikTok core and vertical search quality across query understanding, content understanding, and ranking.
• Develop search ranking algorithms combining product goals with ML/NLP/CV technologies.
• Optimize e-commerce search recommendations and models to boost traffic and conversions.
• Collaborate with product and infra teams to deliver features at global scale.
• Contribute to AI search and AI bot initiatives with LLM, RAG, and agents.
