Job summary

TikTok is seeking talented engineers to join our Search/Algorithm teams in Singapore. You will help build and own our full-stack search engine, combining information retrieval with modern ML methods to deliver accurate, real-time search results for billions of users worldwide.

You will work on multiple teams spanning AI Search, Multimodal LLMs, Local Services, Vertical Search and Ranking, applying NLP, CV and ML to optimize search quality and system performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in software development, computer science, or computer engineering.
• Proficient in C++, Python and Java with strong algorithms and data structures knowledge.
• Solid background in machine learning and practical application experience.
• Analytical, modeling and problem-solving skills to derive insights from complex data.

Responsibilities

• Optimize full-stack algorithms for local services search and improve user search experience.
• Improve TikTok core and vertical search quality across image-text, user, live and related domains.
• Develop search ranking algorithms blending product goals with ML, NLP, CV tech.
• Enhance e-commerce search and recommendations to boost traffic and cognition.
• Collaborate with product and infra teams to deliver features at a global scale.
• Contribute to research and implementation of RAG, LLM-powered search components.
