Job summary

GlaxoSmithKline is seeking a seasoned engineer to oversee capital projects from scoping to commissioning. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, source critical equipment, and ensure compliance with GMP and quality standards.

You will collaborate with automation and utilities teams to improve energy efficiency and validate new technologies. Strong leadership, analytical skills, and a track record in pharmaceutical trouble-shooting are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in relevant engineering field with at least 4 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Highly knowledgeable and competent in their field of work with GMP behaviour and safe practices.
• Strong knowledge in pharmaceutical trouble-shooting and leadership in team management.

Responsibilities

• Scope, design, and manage capital projects; coordinate with stakeholders to ensure on-time completion.
• Source and procure equipment and instrumentation required for projects.
• Ensure contractors on site work safely and to a high quality standard.
• Ensure project deliverables satisfy GMP/QMS and Engineering standards.
• Collaborate with Automation Engineer to design and implement system automation.
• Work with site utilities to monitor energy usage and efficiency of new chiller systems.
• Train FM Engineers and Plant Technicians on new equipment operation and maintenance.
• Support commissioning and qualification activities for new technology and improvement projects.
• Develop, execute, and review validation protocols and related documentation.
• Lead resolution of validation events and escalate concerns promptly.
