Job summary
Argyll Scott seeks a Voice / Unified Communications Operations Engineer to support a global real-time communications environment. You will monitor, troubleshoot, and restore voice and UC platforms, including SIP transport, SBCs, and Microsoft Teams, across production systems and managed service vendors.
You will perform daily health checks, coordinate with infrastructure teams, review call quality metrics, and contribute to runbooks and incident reports while communicating status to technical
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in IP Telephony, Voice, UC, or related production environments.
- Strong incident management, ticketing, troubleshooting, escalation and end‑user support skills.
- Hands‑on experience with SIP transport, call logs, and SIP ladders for troubleshooting.
- Experience with SBCs, SIP trunking, and carrier interconnects.
- Experience supporting Ribbon SBC, Avaya, Cisco Voice/TelePresence, NICE Recording, and/or Microsoft Teams.
- Good understanding of enterprise voice and video products, QoS, and telemetry data.
- Familiarity with Splunk, PowerShell, and Jira for diagnostics and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Triage alerts and restore service for voice and UC platforms.
- Investigate and troubleshoot production incidents across UC environments.
- Coordinate with vendors and MSPs for incident resolution.
- Remediate issues with cross‑functional teams (db, network, servers).
- Participate in Problem Management and root cause analysis.
- Perform daily health checks and maintain documentation.
