Job summary

NR TRADING PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks an experienced Trading Operations Manager to lead day-to-day activities across the trading business. You will develop key supplier and customer relationships, identify opportunities, and drive commercial negotiations to improve margins and growth.

You will oversee forecasting, budgeting, inventory, logistics, and regulatory compliance while mentoring the sales and operations team and reporting to senior leadership on performance and strategic development.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, International Trade, Supply Chain, Economics, or related field.
5+ years of experience in trading, import/export, distribution, wholesale, or related industry.
Experience managing suppliers, customers, and commercial negotiations.
Strong understanding of purchasing, sales, logistics, and international trade processes.
Good financial and commercial awareness, including margins and profitability.
Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to analyze market information and make commercially sound decisions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace; experience with ERP or trading software is an advantage.
Good command of English; additional languages are an advantage.
Willingness to travel internationally when required.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day operations of the trading business.
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, customers, distributors, and business partners.
Identify new products, suppliers, customers, and market opportunities.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, contracts, and commercial agreements.
Monitor purchasing, sales, inventory, logistics, and delivery activities.
Prepare and manage sales forecasts, budgets, and business plans.
Monitor market prices, competitors, and industry trends.
Coordinate import/export documentation, shipping, customs, and regulatory requirements.
Manage and develop the sales and operations team.
Track sales performance, gross margins, expenses, and profitability.
Resolve customer, supplier, and logistics issues promptly.
Ensure company policies and applicable laws and regulations are followed.
Report business performance and key developments to senior management/directors.
Identify and implement process improvements to boost efficiency and margins.
