Job summary

PERSOL Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a highly skilled researcher as part of our innovation partnerships. The role focuses on scouting technologies in ICT, consumer electronics, and smart devices, and on building collaborations with universities, research institutes, and international teams.

You will evaluate trends, manage IP discussions, and coordinate multi-stakeholder projects across cultures and locations.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Computer Science or EEE.
• Proficiency in English and Mandarin (written and spoken).
• Excellent networking and cross-cultural collaboration skills.
• Strong willingness to learn and gain deeper competencies.
• Strong ability to translate insights into opportunities.
• Advanced creative, deductive and entrepreneurial thinking.
• Good project management skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Experience leading in matrix organizations.
• Experience >2 years in industry-university-research collaboration.
• Basic understanding of tax and legal knowledge.
• Advanced engineering experience in R&D.
• Experience in technology scouting, trend research, benchmarking.

Responsibilities

• Perform technology scouting for ICT and consumer electronics, and prepare insights reports.
• Identify and evaluate new tech trends or business opportunities.
• Cultivate partnerships with international innovation teams and universities.
• Support research collaboration relationships and manage partnerships.
• Negotiate and advise on IP and usage in collaboration projects.
• Manage timelines and capacity for multiple tasks.
• Communicate with English- and Mandarin-speaking stakeholders, including China HQ.
