Job summary

Airwallex is seeking a seasoned Regulatory & Compliance Strategy & Operations leader for a 6-month fixed-term contract. You will shape and accelerate critical strategic initiatives across global markets, partnering with senior leadership to drive AI-enabled automation and scalable regulatory frameworks.

You will bridge high-level strategy with operational delivery, coordinating with Legal, Product, Engineering, Risk, and regional teams.

Qualifications

6–8+ years of total professional experience, with 4+ years at a top-tier strategy consulting firm.
Experience delivering strategic projects within financial services, fintech, or technology platforms.
Exceptional problem-solving, with ability to structure ambiguous strategic questions.
Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities translating data into executive insights.
Superior communication and executive presence with C-suite stakeholder influence.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end group-wide strategic projects including market expansion and operating model redesigns.
Partner with Product, Data Science, and Engineering to deploy AI-driven tools and scalable regulatory automation.
Design modern governance structures and global compliance frameworks for scalable operations.
Prepare board-level presentations and strategic business cases for leadership.
Mobilize cross-functional teams across Legal, Compliance, Product, Engineering, Finance, and Ops.
Define and track key strategic metrics and ROI on transformation investments.
