Job summary

Dyson is seeking a Global Head of Product Safety & Risk Management to define and govern Dyson's world‑wide Product Safety framework. You will provide strategic leadership, ensuring safety, compliance and consumer trust across all products and markets.

As the senior Product Safety leader, you will escalate risks, govern safety practices, and partner with cross‑functional teams to embed safety into product lifecycle decisions and drive business performance.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading Product Safety, Product Compliance, Risk Management or Quality functions within consumer products, electronics, automotive, medical devices or similarly regulated industries.
• Deep understanding of global product safety regulations, standards and conformity assessment requirements.
• Strong knowledge of product risk management methodologies, including FMEA, hazard analysis and lifecycle risk assessment.
• Experience implementing and improving Quality Management Systems and governance frameworks, including ISO 9001 and associated risk-based approaches.
• Proven experience managing product safety challenges across complex global organisations.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain Dyson's global Product Safety and Product Risk Management strategy across all product categories and markets.
• Act as final escalation and decision-making authority for significant product safety risks.
• Lead governance forums and safety reviews to identify, assess and manage risks.
• Provide independent safety oversight and assurance throughout the product lifecycle.
• Partner with Engineering, Quality, Regulatory, Legal, Supply Chain and Commercial teams to embed safety in decision-making.
