Job summary

Stripe is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Payments team in Singapore to shape card payments strategy and expand Stripe's global payments reach. You will lead, mentor, and recruit engineers while collaborating with cross-functional partners to deliver scalable, reliable payment systems across regions.

You will drive technical excellence, empower the team, and architect robust solutions in a high-autonomy environment, shaping the future of payments at Stripe.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in an engineering management role.
• 8+ years of full-time software development experience.
• Demonstrated track record of hiring, developing, and mentoring engineers.
• Ability to lead by example in fast-paced, high-impact, and ambiguous environments.
• Commitment to high operational rigor when working with production systems.
• Experience building extensible software solutions that scale with business growth.
• Adept at thriving in a collaborative, cross-functional, and cross-timezone environment.

Responsibilities

• Work with other Stripe leaders to author Stripe's card payments strategy.
• Develop engineers on the team, helping them advance in their careers.
• Empower the engineering team to achieve a high level of technical productivity, reliability and simplicity.
• Manage processes to help the team do its best work and interface effectively with the rest of Stripe.
• Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives as a member of Stripe’s engineering management team.
• Recruit great engineers, in collaboration with Stripe’s recruiting team.
