Job summary

Stripe is seeking an Engineering Manager for Payments to lead the Card Payments engineering team across Asia Pacific, Europe, and Middle East regions. You will collaborate with Stripe leaders to define strategy, grow engineers, and ensure reliable, scalable payment experiences globally.

You will recruit and mentor engineers, drive high autonomy, and cultivate a positive, high-performing team culture while navigating cross-timezone collaboration.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in an engineering management role.
• 8+ years of full-time software development experience.
• Demonstrated track record of hiring, developing, and mentoring engineers.
• Ability to lead by example in fast-paced, high-impact, ambiguous environments.
• Commitment to high operational rigor when working with production systems.
• Experience building extensible software solutions that scale with business growth.
• Adept at thriving in a collaborative, cross-functional, and cross-timezone environment.

Responsibilities

• Work with Stripe leaders to author card payments strategy.
• Develop engineers on the team, helping them advance in their careers.
• Empower the engineering team to achieve high productivity, reliability, and simplicity.
• Manage processes to help the team do its best work and interface with the rest of Stripe.
• Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives as a member of Stripe’s engineering management team.
• Recruit great engineers in collaboration with Stripe’s recruiting team.
