Job summary
Manpower Staffing Services (Singapore) Pte Ltd is seeking a senior freight and logistics leader to shape global ocean freight strategies across dry bulk, breakbulk, containerized, and project cargo. You will manage international procurement, RFQs, tender processes, and chartering to optimize cost, service, and capacity.
Collaborating with Procurement, Commercial, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams, you will support inventory planning, customer delivery, route optimization, and KPI monitoring
Qualifications
- Bachelor-level degree in a related field.
- Minimum 10 years in international freight, chartering, shipping, or logistics.
- Technical knowledge of dry bulk, breakbulk, container shipping, and carrier management.
- Experience with freight tenders, strategic sourcing, and cost optimization.
- Strong understanding of charter party agreements, laytime, demurrage, and marine logistics.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of global ocean freight strategies.
- Manage international freight procurement, RFQs, tenders, carrier selection, and negotiations.
- Oversee vessel chartering, freight contracting, and transportation planning.
- Conduct freight market intelligence, bunker trends, port congestion, and trade impacts.
- Provide expertise on charter terms, laytime calculations, and dispute resolution.
