Job summary

NetEase Singapore Campus is seeking a Narrative & Worldview Designer to shape game worlds, craft dialogue and event narratives, and align stories with LiveOps. The role targets overseas markets and requires native-level English writing.

You will collaborate with localization, operations, and art teams to weave narrative into events and characters, and study trends to engage global players.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Creative Writing, Literature, Media, Drama, Game Design, Digital Media or related fields
• Native-level English writing ability (serving overseas markets; the copy IS the product)
• Strong storytelling and character-building skills; portfolio or script samples
• Understanding of and passion for narrative-driven casual games
• Effective collaboration across cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the product's worldview setting and narrative lines
• Write in-game copy: story dialogue, quest text, event narratives and character lines
• Collaborate with localization to ensure cultural adaptation and language quality
• Work with operations and art teams to integrate narrative into LiveOps events and meta scenarios
• Research narrative preferences and pop culture trends in target markets (NA/EU)
