Job summary

OCBC Singapore is offering an internship within Global Markets, Emerging Markets, Rates & NDF and SGD Rates teams. You will work with traders and front office quants to build models, analyze data, and automate processes to support trading decisions.

Ideal candidates are curious, analytical, and proficient in Python, VBA, and Excel. The role requires pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree and offers a full-time internship of at least six months in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in financial markets, trading, and quantitative analysis.
• Proficient in Python and VBA programming.
• Strong Excel and spreadsheet modelling skills.
• Comfortable working with data and analytical techniques.

Responsibilities

• Quantitative analysis: develop financial models and analytics tools.
• Market research: model historical data to identify opportunities.
• Data automation: Python-based data collection and processing.
• Trading desk support: assist with daily cashflow, risk, and reports.
• Financial modelling: maintain spreadsheets and pricing tools.
• Trading strategy development: back-test ideas with quantitative methods.
• Tech & process improvement: enhance P&L reporting tools and pricers.
• Data analytics & reporting: present insights for decision-making.
• Ad-hoc projects: support strategic automation initiatives.
